Me and my wife Jane

Mr. and Mrs. Chuck Griffis

Objective

To serve in a role that allows me to use the leadership skills, and people skills I have developed in seventeen plus years as a minister/evangelist serving with Inner City Ministry/Inner City church of Christ, and as an evangelist performing outreach related ministry in other areas. I want to encourage, equip, and prepare my brotherhood for local evangelistic outreach. I am able to conduct an evangelism workshop/seminar for your congregation and teach your membership, leadership and staff how to implement and follow through with a local outreach effort that will reach the lost and build the church numerically with new souls added to the Kingdom. I am able to teach and train your congregation on how to effectively minister the Gospel to the poor, as well.

Public Speaking/Community Evangelism

I have over seventeen years of public speaking experience which include preaching, seminars, workshops/training events, fund raising, classroom teaching of all ages, television/media, and forums. I have addressed crowds ranging from less than twenty people to over eight hundred. My effectiveness in my preaching ability comes from candor and confidence before the crowd, and a strong working knowledge of the Bible. I have officiated weddings and funerals. I have worked in the field as a community evangelist, which includes door to door work, home Bible studies, visitation, preaching outdoor gospel meetings, and baptisms. I have the ability to develop a good rapport and trust with the community.

  • Volunteer involvement programs geared to team recruitment and team building

  • Summer camp development for inner city teens/children

  • Church involvement campaigns geared to outreach agendas/Leadership Development

  • Prison ministry development serving the needs of incarcerated juveniles and adults

Activity and Events

Planned, and coordinated Church events/activities for both children and adults, which numbered from small groups to very large groups (a few hundred). This would include:

  • Outdoor activities/events

  • Activities and events involving the serving of food

  • Training events for teens thru adults

  • Fund raising activities and events

  • Mission Trips/Campaigns

  • Activities and events that included extensive logistical planning for transportation, food, and housing
